Experienced UX Designer

We’re looking for an experienced UX Designer. This requires at least 5 years of experience in UX design, with strong presentation skills and the ability to lead workshops. You have experience with scrum, you understand the role and responsibilities of a Product Owner and it’s a plus if you even have experience fulfilling that role.

Being an Experienced UX Designer in The Valley, means leading by example. You stand at the foundation of developing innovative digital concepts and costumer journeys and you know how to find the balance between the goals of your client and the wishes of the end user. Being an experience Designer also means knowing how to guide and inspire your (scrum) team and stake holders and getting your vision across.

In this role you rationalize from the end user’s perspective, while keeping the client’s business objectives in mind. You create personas and immerse yourself in the end user, his needs and behavior. You develop an excellent user experience across different touch points and devices, always fitting the framework of the brand, the platform and other restrictions. Within a multidisciplinary team you pick up the UX role and proactively seek connection with Front-end Designers Visual Designers and Back-end Developers.

You are familiar with various customer journeys, UX and psychological patterns and know how to apply these in designs. Whenever possible, you test your UX concepts and designs in usability tests. You know how to see value in potential outcomes and present them to your stakeholders. Besides, you are familiar with translating functionalities to short and clear backlog items.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute customer experience strategies and design solutions that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure customer experience is seamless across all touch points.
  • Conduct user research, analyze customer feedback, and develop personas to inform design decisions.
  • Create wire frames, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that are intuitive and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly and meet design specifications.
  • Continuously iterate and improve customer experiences based on customer feedback, usability testing, and industry trends.

Ideally, you have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in interaction, service or product design, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer experience design or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX/Service design work, including web and/or mobile design.
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma or similar.
  • Experience in workshop facilitation, journey mapping and stakeholder management.
  • Experience with user research methods, including surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take a data-driven approach to design decisions.
  • Preferably Dutch and English proficiency level of C1 or native.
