Medior Designer (Visual/UI)

At Assist Digital Netherlands (formerly The Valley), we’re a full-service CX agency. We are international with English being the language of the agency. We’re looking for a Medior-level Visual Design colleague. We design for both exposure (campaigns, content, brand) and experience (web, apps, services). You’ll apply your craft across different touchpoints.

What you'll do

• Create end-to-end visual and UI design across websites, apps, and campaign touchpoints, contributing to design systems and component libraries.

• Translate strategy and insights into clear visual communication, presenting your work and rationale to clients and teammates.

• Prototype key interactions and responsive flows. Prepare clean handovers to developers.

• Work in multidisciplinary squads with UX, developers, and PMs.

• Contribute to sprints and MVP scoping.

• Help raise the bar by supporting juniors, contributing to crits, and sharing references that move the work forward.

What you'll bring

• Experience: roughly 4–5 years in a similar role. Agency experience is a plus.

• Tools: Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (After effects & Premiere Pro a big plus); comfortable designing decks in desktop publishing programs - keynote, powerpoint etc.
  

• Ways of working: responsive design, component thinking; familiar with Agile/Scrum.
  

• Collaboration: Anticipate the needs of the team. Think ahead and communicate across departments and disciplines with respect and understanding.
  

• Mindset: conceptual thinker who cares about both craft and benefit. You’re curious, proactive, and enthusiatic about devolopment, both induvidually and the team.

Nice to have

• Extra interests and passions are a huge plus. Learning 3D, Photography, Illustration or even watercolour - we'd love to hear you talk about it!

• HBO or higher, or equivalent evidence of skill.

• Comfort around front-end constraints and design-to-dev collaboration.

• Up to speed on design trends.
